I HAVE A RESERVE

Clover - Springer Spaniel - 1 year 0 months - Female

This little cutie is Clover. Clover unfortunately hasn’t had the best start in life, but after receiving some well-needed and well-deserved TLC here at the centre she is now ready to find the perfect home where she can enjoy all the exciting things that life has to offer.

When she first arrived at the centre, it was obvious to us that Clover hadn’t had much exposure to the world around her. Because of this, she has experienced lots of new things whilst being with us. Although learning new things has been a little scary at times, Clover has proven every day to have the most positive attitude towards unfamiliar situations, and we’re sure that she will only continue to blossom with a family who can offer her lots of patience and reassurance while she finds her feet.

If there’s one thing that this girl loves – it's cuddles! Clover has been progressing with her lead work after rarely ever wearing one before and will certainly let you know when she thinks she needs a reward for how well she’s doing! This girly has mastered the art of puppy-dog eyes and will often use them to her advantage during a walk to entice you in for a quick snuggle break (not that we’re complaining, of course!) as a pay-off for all her hard work.

Clover still has a lot to learn, and we’re sure that in the right home, she will make an amazing companion. We would recommend that Clover be rehomed to an active family who can help her to focus her high energy levels. She would also need someone who is home quite a lot of the time, as she finds a lot of comfort in people that she trusts and will often seek those people out. Clover’s new family would also need to appreciate that while she does need a lot of physical exercise, Clover is a very intelligent girl and would love to keep her brain busy as well as her body.

We would recommend that Clover lives in a home with children aged 10 years and older who have experience with high energy, bouncy dogs and can appreciate that Clover may need some time to herself when things get a bit overwhelming. She could also potentially live with a confident dog who can guide her through life in her new home, and who is happy around excitable dogs pending a successful introduction here at the centre. For now, we would advise that Clover’s new home doesn’t have cats.
