Leaving a Legacy

By leaving a legacy to our self-funded branch (registered charity number 506259), you can be assured that your donation will greatly benefit the lives of animals.

Your gift will ensure that we are here tomorrow to protect neglected, abandoned and abused animals.

It costs approximately £2000 a day to operate our animal centre, and as an autonomous branch of the RSPCA, we are responsible for raising almost all of this ourselves. Therefore, your gift – no matter the size – will help to guarantee the future of local, vulnerable animals. Leaving a gift in your will also allows us to improve our facilities and enrich the lives of animals in our care.

In the past, a legacy from Mr McDonald was used to improve our on-site veterinary surgery facilities, meaning that fewer animals would have to endure the stress of an off-site vet visit.

How to leave a Legacy

Leaving a legacy gift is an important decision and it does not have to be complicated, but please always consult your legal advisor for advice.

If you wish to leave a legacy to our animal centre, we would respectfully suggest that your legacy reads:

“I give the sum of £………… (or specify a share of residue) to the RSPCA Doncaster, Rotherham and District Branch, Registered Charity Number 506259, Great North Road, Bawtry, Doncaster, DN10 6DE for its general purposes and I declare that the receipt of the Honorary Treasurer or other proper officer of the said RSPCA for the time being shall be full and sufficient discharge for the said legacy.

All acts of giving, no matter how small, make a great difference to the animals in our care.  Each gift helps us continue in our fight to ensure animals are given a voice.

If you would like more information about giving a gift in your will or would like to receive a free digital information pack, then please do not hesitate to give us a call on 01302 719790.

Having an up-to-date will is the only way to make sure that the people and causes you care about are looked after when you’re gone. Once you have taken care of family and friends, RSPCA Doncaster, Rotherham and District Branch would be extremely grateful if you would consider supporting them with a gift in your will.
