How you can help Volunteer Become a Trustee Become a Trustee We are currently looking to recruit volunteer trustees who can help set the strategic direction of the branch, monitor our progress, ensure appropriate policies are in place and support our management team, staff and volunteers. Our branch supports the work of the RSPCA National Society, however, we receive no funding and as a result, rely heavily on the generous donations of the public and our own methods of local income generation such as fundraising events and our charity shops. Being an RSPCA Branch Trustee The Trustee role offers significant influence over the future of local animal welfare at one of the largest animal centres in the area. Many people find the Trustee role enhances their skill set, advances their professional development or provides a meaningful outlet in retirement. The minimum commitment is about four hours a month and Trustees are expected to commit to the role for at least two years. Trustees are encouraged to attend Branch events. Some experience of managing people and/or a budget is essential, as is a passion for animal welfare, an ability to work within a team and reasonable IT literacy. Trustees must be 18 years or over. What should I do next? If you feel you could contribute as a Trustee, please fill in our contact form here stating your interest and experience. Thank you for your time and consideration.
