Pixie was adopted from our centre in April 2022, and since then we have received an update from her new family.

“Pixie has settled in really well and we love her to bits. She enjoys her regular escorted time in our back garden (we always make sure she’s wearing her collar with a bell so that we know where she is amongst the hedges and shrubs and a tag with our phone number on.) She purrs when we pick up her collar and the bell rings because she knows she is going into the garden. She loves sitting on the window ledges and watching the. We make tunnels for her out of cardboard boxes and she chases her favourite balls through them.

When I am working in the office at the top of the house, she has her special cushion that she curls up on next to my desk. She also likes to curl up on our bed for some of each night and then goes off to one of her other favourite places.

She is registered at the Rutland Veterinary Centre and we enrolled her in their Lifetime Care Club which is all about regular health checks, advice, support and treatment plans and she has monthly applications of NexGard Combo. We also activated the Lifetime Pet Plan Insurance option.

There have been no real issues, other than she can still have a scratch at various pieces of furniture and occasionally attacks our feet, mine in particular so my walking socks come in handy. We love her, thank you.”

We'd love to hear (and share) updates on how your furry family members are doing since leaving our care. Send your 'Happy Ever After' story to [email protected] with photos of course!
