What a fabulous day! Sunday 8th December was spent at The Northern Racing College in the company of some fantastic runners - young and old. The event is organised every year by Curly's Athletes, who donate their time and money to support local charities.

Volunteers from RSPCA Doncaster, Rotherham and District Branch gathered in force to support The Great Sprout Scuttle, as over 750 runners of all ages completed the off track running course.

The weather was very kind with bright sunshine and light breezes, but we still needed to wrap up well against the elements. Three people (that we know of) ran in aid of us and between them raised well over £200.

Our willing band of volunteers manned the cake and water post and worked hard in the cafe upstairs, to make hot drinks and delicious hot snacks - their efforts raised a further £300, thanks to the kind donation of food and drinks by Curly's Athletes.

All in all, the day was a great start to the Christmas period with good humour flowing everywhere.
