Temperament	Shy, nervous, but super sweet.
Good with children?	10+, that are okay that he can be quite vocal.
Good with pets?	No, he would need to be the only pet.
Special considerations/ Training	He needs some help with socialisation around both people and other animals. He can get quite overwhelmed.
Ideal home	A loving home where his family are around for most of the day.

Hugo is a sweet little dachshund looking for his forever home.

He can be a little shy at first, but once he gets to know you, he is the cuddliest little love bug, who loves belly rubs, treats and lots of fuss and attention. He has found adjusting to kennels a little daunting, so we would expect him to be a little apprehensive in his new home too. But with patience and reassurance, he will certainly settle.

Hugo is typical of dachshund nature, in that he can be selective in the friends he makes, and has shown to be quite reactive towards other animals whilst being with us. So we would love for his adopters to respect this and help him work through some of these issues.

Because of this, Hugo would be best suited to be the only animal in the home, but could live with children aged 10+
