Here at the centre, training has been stepping up in preparation for the Three Peaks Challenge.

Click here to see how our canine counterparts have been joining in the fun whilst our team trains for the challenge.

On Saturday 28th May, Our team of intrepid explorers will be challenging themselves to climb the Yorkshire Three Peaks – all in the name of raising money for our much needed kennel refurbishment.

The team have no more than 12 hours to complete the challenge which involves climbing three mountains and walking 24 miles through the Yorkshire Dales.

At present, we have 40 main kennels and 5 isolation kennels on site.

These are located across 5 separate blocks. As a self-funded charity, we are reaching out for support to undertake an extensive and vital refurbishment project.

You can make a contribution via our Just Giving page.

All the blocks are in need of refurbishment to further improve animal welfare. The proposed refurbishment will ensure:

  • less stress for dogs as a result of quiet-close hatches
  • a warmer environment with draught-proof hatches
  • an easier to clean environment.
  • increased longevity of the blocks through remedial works undertaken to the exterior walls

If you would like to sponsor our team, then please donate below or you can pop down to the centre.

Any sponsorship, no matter the amount is appreciated.

We are also looking for anyone with a minibus who would be happy to volunteer their services for the day to drive the team there and back from our animal centre.

Thank you for your support.
