News and events Latest news Gift Aid Awareness Day What is Gift Aid? Gift Aid is a tax relief for charities in the UK to increase donations – at no extra cost to the donor. When a charity receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, the organisation is entitled to claim an extra 25% paid on that donation. How does it work? In simple terms if you donate items to us we get an extra 25% added to what we sell it for. So if you donate a pair of shoes and we sell them for £10 it actually becomes £12.50. How do I sign up? Next time you drop in a donation let one of our team know you’d like to be a Gift Aider and we’ll sign you up.
