Meet Barney, a beautiful lurcher who came into our care through no fault of his owm.

It is clear to see that Barney'sleg isn't as it should be as a result of previous trauma - the vets have confirmed it to be a complete rupture of the gastrocnemius tendon. This means that his right hock is completely plantigrade when weight bearing.

It is possible for Barney to lead a normal life without having to amputate his leg. However, he does require an operation.

Our trusted vets are looking to perform an operation which involves a permanent plate and screws in order to fix the hock joint in one position.

Any contributions towards Barney's operation would be greatly appreciated since we are a self-funded charity who depend on donations.
