Gunner - French Bulldog - 1 year - Male

We are beyond excited to introduce you all to the wonderful Gunner, a little man with bags of personality who has made a lasting impression on staff and volunteers alike during his long stay at the centre (mostly due to his Houdini antics!). Gunner truly possesses every quality that makes a Frenchie so lovable - he’s quirky, energetic, and shows never-ending enthusiasm for all the exciting things life has to offer. Unfortunately, Gunner has spent the majority of his short life in our care and will therefore need a family who can be patient and understanding while he makes the adjustment to life in a new home. Although he shows the upmost enthusiasm when experiencing new things, it is important that Gunner’s new family understands that he may need a lot of reassurance and help when learning his new routines. In return, Gunner’s perfect family will be graced with the most exuberant companion - there really is never a dull moment when this little man’s around. Don’t be fooled, however, because as much as Gunner loves to play hard, he also massively values his downtime, and will always ensure he makes time for a good snooze, sunbathe, or roll in the grass. Gunner has made it his mission to befriend just about everyone he sees at the centre and loves to meet new human friends, but we would recommend he lives in a home with children aged 12 years and above as he doesn’t always know how to introduce himself in the most polite way. Children in his new family would need to have had experience with energetic, bouncy dogs, and would need to understand that he will need some time to himself while he’s settling in. Gunner is still working on his manners with meeting dogs in public, and so we would advise that he is the only animal in the home - although we’re sure he’ll have no issues being the star of the show!
