Although small in size, their needs are not, and guinea pigs require just as much care and attention as you would give to your cat or dog. The majority of their diet should be made up of high quality feeding hay (85-90%), supplemented with a small amount of vitamin rich nuggets (5%), fresh greens and herbs (10%) and the occasional healthy treat.
