February is Spay Awareness month and we are shining a light on the importance of having your pets neutered or spayed.

If you've got a new kitten, you'll need to make plans soon to have her spayed. This should be done before she's four months old. Many people don't realise this and end up with unplanned litters - in fact 85% of litters are unplanned! If you're worried that your cat should have a litter before she's spayed, don't be - this is an old wives tale. As soon as your cat has been spayed - as well as vaccinated and microchipped, she'll be all set to enjoy the things cats love doing - going outside and climbing trees. www.rspca.org.uk/catcare
