In preparation for the forthcoming festive season, we are asking for your support. We hope that you will contribute towards providing our animals with the Christmas full of love that they deserve.

Each month, we witness hundreds of animals come through our doors, from degus to dogs to donkeys. The Christmas period is no different, as we expect busy Winter months ahead with hundreds more abandoned, abused, and neglected animals entering our care. We desperately need your help to ensure their stay can be filled with warmth, comfort, and safety.

For Christmas 2021, we are relaunching our much-loved ‘Stock the Sleigh’ annual appeal. From Thursday 2nd December, we invite keen animal lovers and RSPCA supporters to donate items that will benefit the animals in our care.

These items can come in a variety of forms:

  • Food
  • Bedding
  • Toys
  • Treats

In addition, the animals will also benefit from financial donations, and appreciate any items purchased from our Amazon Wishlist.

Your generous food donations will ensure that our animals have enough meals to see them through to the New Year, whilst bedding and blankets will keep them warm and cosy as the Winter nights become darker and colder. We believe that the Christmas cheer should be spread to our furry friends too, so your toy and treat donations will make great stocking fillers for them to open on Christmas morning. Financial donations will help towards the cost of any veterinary treatment or medication needed.

There are many ways that your vital donations can reach us. Items can be dropped off at our animal centre located on Great North Road, DN10 6DE. Alternatively, they can be safely left at one of our charity shops, which are located in Bawtry, Maltby, Rossington, and Thorne. For anyone who is unable to reach these locations, you can still support us by purchasing an item from our Amazon Wishlist. This is stocked full of goodies that we know our animals will be grateful for. You can also donate £5 by texting RSPCADRB to 70085.

The RSPCA Doncaster, Rotherham and District branch is an independent charity, therefore relying on the support of kind members of the public. You can rest assured with the knowledge that all of your support and donations are invaluable to the animals in our care and will contribute directly to their rehabilitation. Rescue work doesn’t stop just because it’s Christmas; we hope that you will remember the animals this Christmas.

Thank you for your support.
