The evenings are getting lighter, the weather is getting warmer and May  National Walking Month!

It's crazy to think about all the benefits you can get from something as simple as walking, yet how few really do it. A quick, daily walk for 30 minutes can reduce your risk of:

• Type 2 diabetes
• High blood pressure 
• Stroke
• Obesity
• Dementia

On top of that walking is a just great way to feel more energised, positive, and even feel happier. The best part of all you can bring along your furry friends!

You can even use it as an excuse to fundraise for our Animal Centre by setting up an organised walk with friends and family.
