As England finds itself in a second lockdown our Animal Centre team continue to work hard behind the scenes to look after the animals in our care. The Covid-19 pandemic has put a great deal of strain upon ourselves and other charities with many more animals and people requiring support throughout this time.

The new lockdown rules have once again meant our charity shops have had to close and traditional means of fundraising have been put on hold. This has meant we face another significant decrease in essential funds to allow our vital work to continue.

We will continue to raise funds through alternative means including our eBay shop and virtual fundraising events however we still need support. Could you be a helping hand hero? There are numerous ways in which you can get involved from the safety of your own home:

  • Do your online shopping through Easy Fundraising and Amazon Smile. This means companies you buy from make a donation to us at no extra cost to you.
  • Sign up to sponsor a pen at our Animal Centre through the Safe Haven scheme.
  • Send virtual cards and donate the money you would have spent on cards and postage.
  • Set up your own fundraiser; perhaps you could commit to so many steps before Christmas or give up something you love for a month and get friends and family to sponsor you.
  • Donate your eBay sales to us. If you take the opportunity to have a sort out and sell some bits on eBay you can donate some or all of the sales to us (RSPCA Doncaster, Rotherham & District Branch).

If you have any other ideas please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.
